Tile is known as a durable and easy to clean flooring solution. Tile allows you to let your creative side free and create a custom look in your home. Tile can go anywhere in your home including walls, showers, and outside. Our sales professionals at Designer’s Carpet in Mississaugha are here to help you make the right selection when it comes to tile.
We often refer to tile as a “green” flooring product because it is made with natural materials and features no VOC’s. Tile is a durable and long-lasting option that is easy to care for and is also an allergy friendly option for those who suffer from them.

Types of Tile
We carry several different types of tile including porcelain, ceramic, and stone options.
Porcelain and ceramic tiles are made with the same material but are labeled differently. Porcelain tile is denser and resists moisture and heat, whereas ceramic tile is light weight and slightly absorbent. They are commonly found in kitchens and bathrooms due to their durability and variety of design options. Porcelain and ceramic tile are available in a wide variety of shapes, colours, sizes, styles, and patterns for you to choose. Our stone selection features natural options, a benefit of stone is that no two slabs look alike, and when sealed properly they are water and stain resistant.
In addition to floor tile we also offer wall and backsplash tile. These tiles are smaller and light weight, and come in many different material options. Wall backsplash can be made from a combination of tile, glass and metal, to create a more dimensional look, and can make a long wall more visually appealing. Backsplash tile is easy to care for and can protect your walls in your kitchen from accidental food splatter.
Where Can Tile Be Installed?
Tile is traditionally installed in bathroom and kitchens. There are several other places around your home you can install tile in as well. Since tile can go on your walls, installing them anywhere in your home as an accent wall is an option. You can also install tile in finished basements, laundry rooms, and entryways to your home.
